ADMISSION ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A. SSSCE/WASSCE Applicants
To be admitted to the Certificate in Natural Resources Programme, SSSCE candidates, should have passes (A-E) in six (6) subjects comprising core subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science; and three (3) Elective Science subjects from Biology/General Agriculture/Forestry, Geography/Economics, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. WASSCE candidates should have credit passes (A1-D7) in six (6) subjects comprising core subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science; and three (3) Elective Science subjects from Biology/General Agriculture/Forestry, Geography, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Also, SSSCE and WASSCE candidates should have at least a grade E and D7 in Social Studies, respectively. Also, any Post-secondary student in any of the options with the minimum requirement stated could be considered.
B. Foreign Applicants
a. Required subjects for Sciences: English, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology/Agriculture, Physics and Chemistry plus a pass in one Arts subject.
b. Other Qualifications: Other qualifications acceptable for consideration for admission include International Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSE, GCSE, American Grade 13 examinations and other external qualifications which have equivalences to the WASSCE/SSSCE and the GCE (A Levels).
c. Foreign certificates will be sent to the National Accreditation Board for assessment and advice.
C. Mature Students
Applicants seeking admission as Mature Candidates must be, at least, Twenty-Five (25) years old by 31st January 2024. Candidates must have passed in core subjects including English, Mathematics and Integrated Science and two elective science subjects.
Applicants shall register and pass examinations, prepared by FCTC and supervised by SNR-UENR, in:
i. English Language
ii. Aptitude Test
iii. Mathematics
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE PROGRAMME
– Obtain the Application form at the Admission Offices of Forestry Commission Training Centre (FCTC) Akyawkrom and UENR Sunyani, or Forestry Commission Regional Offices, FC Headquarters, or download from FCTC Website: www.fctc.fcghana.org
Complete and submit the application form to the Admission Office FCTC on or before March 15, 2024.

COURSE DURATION: 18 Months Intensive i.e. (Three (3) Semesters)
